Renault EZ-GO concept (2018)

The Renault EZ-GO concept was revealed to the public at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Described by Renault as the robot-vehicle that reinvents the relationship between space and time, the elevating roof and walk-in rear entrance is supposed to allow easy access for wheelchairs, baby buggies etc. The “robot-vehicle” tag may imply the vehicle is some type of transformer from a Hollywood movie but in fact it describes the vehicles absolute autonomy, utilising an electric engine and minus a steering wheel and driver.

A shared cabin, or shared mobility as the Renault blurb describes it, is an expression of Renault’s “Easy Life’ identity, whereby the EZ-GO Concept makes urban travel easier for all and quite different from the cuboid shuttles that most people imagine. Okay, now I think I’m getting it.. erm, well sort of. Here is the rest of the best from the Renault press release but a word of caution.. it may alter your perception of “cuboid shuttles” forever.

The front doors of EZ-GO Concept allow six passengers to enter while standing. Access is also facilitated for persons with reduced mobility or pushchairs who benefit from a dedicated access ramp attached to rear of the EZ-GO Concept Vehicle.
